Residents with a gastrostomy tube receive individualized support based on provider instructions, nutritional requirements, skin condition, and the established nursing care plan.

Our team follows the resident’s prescribed feeding and care routine while maintaining appropriate hygiene and safety practices. We monitor the tube site for changes such as redness, irritation, swelling, drainage, or discomfort and communicate any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

We also provide support with positioning, comfort, and routine observation during and after feeding as outlined in the resident’s care plan. Our goal is to help ensure residents receive their nutrition safely while maintaining dignity, comfort, and consistent care.
